Discharging fabric is the process of removing dye by eliminating or altering the existing colour of the fabric, it is magically unpredictable and another wonderful way to make your own unique fabrics. Using a variety of techniques and materials we will create our own patterns, prints and free form designs.

Discharge can be incorporated as part of a more complex design with over-dyeing or combined with painting, printing, or stencilling with opaque paints. We’ll be doing lots of exploring and testing technique and materials as well as following the design ideas!
