Spinning allows you to customize your yarn by blending both fibres and colours, and different ways of preparing and blending fibres create different effects in your spun yarn. Join Master Spinner Vanessa Bjerreskov for this full day class exploring blending and colour in your spinning. You will learn: the most common blending tools are and how they are used; how to evaluate and prepare different fibres for blending; different ways to blend and spin for texture, characteristics, colour, and repeatability; different fibre preparations and ways to spin them; and any other questions you have about the way fibres and colours come together in your yarn.

Skill Level – Beginner/intermediate
must be able to spin a consistent single on a spinning tool of student’s choice

Equipment Required
Working spinning wheel with at least three bobbins, or spindles
Hand cards (if available – do not purchase if not already owned)
Hand combs (if available – do not purchase if not already owned)
Hackle (if available – do not purchase if not already owned)

FibreWorks provides a light lunch with each day of instruction
