FibreWorks invites you to share your artistic passions with the public this holiday season in the gallery space, by participating in our Annual Members Show & Winter Market. All members are invited to submit one piece of original artwork in any medium, including three dimensional pieces, produced in the past three years.
Complimenting the artwork on the walls of the gallery will be juried, unique, handmade fibre-based treasures filling the centre of the space, perfect for seasonal shoppers. In this unique way, FibreWorks will celebrate both the functional fibre artists of the Sunshine Coastal community from Langdale to Lund and surrounding islands, while also showcasing the incredible talents of our membership.
If your membership hasn’t been renewed in the last year, you’ll be asked to bring it up to date when you come to drop off your work. New members are always welcome. Members are welcome to submit for both the show & market.
Acceptable Work for the Members Show
- This event is open to original artwork made in the past three years.
- Artwork may be in any medium
- 2D to be no larger than 1 metre in width
- 3D to be no larger than 1 metre in any direction
- Participants must be members of FibreWorks Studio & Gallery Society

There is no submission fee for the Members Show.
Acceptable Work for the Winter Market
- Any fibre media is welcome: wearables & accessories, home décor/accents, functional artisanal pieces; seasonal ornaments & gifts, or ?
- Participants must be residents of the Sunshine Coastal Community from Lund to Langdale & surrounding islands
- This event is open to all original handmade works.

How to Submit for the Winter Market
- Submit up to three digital photographs showcasing your work view by email to alexis(at)fibreworksgallery.com In the subject line include “Your Name – Coast Fibre Images”. One image must be a full view that includes all edges of your work and at least one detail view.
- Please follow this format in the filename of the digital images: lastname_firstnameinitial_titleofpiece_fullview/detail.jpg (ex. smith_n_mywork_fullview.jpg and smith_n_mywork_detail.jpg)
- Digital images must be high resolution (at least 300 ppi on the shortest side)
- All images must be in .jpg or .jpeg format
Submission Fee for the Market is for non-members only
$15 per entry • payable via e-transfer, credit card, cash & cheque
Important Details
- FibreWorks Gallery will receive 35% commission on all sales for both the Members Show & the Market .
- A jury will make the selection of accepted work for the Winter Market.
- All decisions of the jury are final.
- All work is to be delivered to and returned from FibreWorks Gallery at the artist’s expense.
- Insurance for all work in transit and on display at FibreWorks Gallery is the responsibility of the artist.
- FibreWorks Studio & Gallery reserves the right to withdraw acceptance if work is not up to our Standards of Quality or if it deviates significantly from the images provided.
